The Leathern Bottle pulled its first pints more than 450 years ago. Much has changed, of course, but not too much. Forever a friendly, village pub, it is part of the Brakspear’s Dynasty and family-run for the past forty two years.

Les and Julie Gordon take equal care in the cellar and the kitchen. Lunch times and evenings are comfortably busy in the bars and at the dining tables. The quality of the beers, the wine list and the cooking, speaks volumes. Yet the pub has that magic ingredient, retaining its charm and character with only a handful of folks present.

Roasts and steaks, pies and pastas on the full menu, the younger folk have a Childrens Menu – and their own playground. Walkers, cyclists, nature lovers, pet lovers, car drivers, all are welcome at The Leathern Bottle.
